VB Wave

Hampton Roads Transit’s VB Wave is an easy way to get around the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.  Wave shuttles make stops along Atlantic Avenue, the Virginia Aquarium, Ocean Breeze Water Park, the Holiday Trav-L-Park and the KOA campgrounds on General Booth Boulevard and the Shops at Hilltop. VB Wave Shuttle System and Schedule

  • Route 30 Oceanfront Shuttle – Ride the VB Wave from one end of Atlantic Avenue to the other. Stop along the way at shops, restaurants, museums and more. Transfer to HRT Bus Route 33 at 40th Street to go to First Landing State Park and the Association for Research and Enlightenment or to VB Wave Route 34 at 2nd Street to go to the Rudee Inlet. Daily, May 1 – Sept. 30, 8 a.m. until 2 a.m. about every 15 minutes.
  • Route 31 Aquarium and Campground Shuttle – Ride the VB Wave south to campgrounds and tennis courts, fun parks, and go to the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Museum. Catch the Atlantic Avenue shuttle for points north. Aquarium and Ocean Breeze serviced during operating hours only. Daily, May 23 – Labor Day, 8 a.m. until 2 a.m., about every 20 minutes.
  • Route 32 Shoppers Shuttle – Ride the VB Wave to the trendy, up-scale Hilltop area for shopping and dining. Take it a little further to Virginia Beach’s premier shopping experience, Lynnhaven Mall. Daily, May 23 – Labor Day, 9 a.m. until 11 p.m., about every hour.
  • Route 34 Rudee Inlet Shuttle – Ride the VB Wave to the Rudee Inlet.  After a day on the water, you may have worked up a bit of an appetite, and the Rudee Inlet offers many delicious dining choices to satisfy your palate.  If you’re looking for something fun to do, the Rudee Inlet has plenty of activities to choose from, including Jet Skiing, parasailing, ocean tours and more.  Daily, May 22 – September 6, 12 noon until 12 midnight, about every 15 minutes.
